Biographical Notes
Giedrius Plioplys was born in 1950 to Lithuanian refuges in Rockford, Illinois. He was raised in the Lithuanian culture and his first words were of that language. In his youth he learned of both the old and new Gods, and was compelled to investigate the Mysteries of Life.
He holds degrees in Philosophy, English, and Education and is an avid naturalist. He has traveled extensively and returned to Lithuania for extended visits to learn and work. Giedrius’s poems have been collected in his book, Last Flower. With his wife, Susan, he has raised two children, and they now live in the Colorado Mountains where he sculpts, writes, and practices meditation.
